HortNZ Undergraduate Scholarships
Every year Horticulture New Zealand (HortNZ) and Horticentre Charitable Trust offer scholarships that are open to students who have a special interest in the fruit and vegetable industry and are undertaking an undergraduate degree. There are 16 scholarships available which are allocated across New Zealand and include support for scholars from each of the country's growing regions.
Value of scholarship
The HortNZ Undergraduate Scholarships are valued at $1500 each. This $1500 is put towards the scholars’ all-inclusive professional development program including travel, accommodation, and registration to the Horticulture New Zealand Conference. Scholars are given workshops, professional development opportunities, networking invitations, and exposure to renowned leaders and speakers from the horticulture industry.
The top five applicants nationally will each be awarded a Horticentre CharitableTrust Undergraduate Scholarship to the value of $4500 ($1500 conference package + $3000 in monetary value to support the individual’s studies).
